Friday Music Land
So apparently it's some sort of blogger meme to generate random music lists with the theory that other people care about the music that the writer is listening to. I've avoided doing that even though I love music and am probably a music snob. But now I have a perfectly decent excuse.
Brian got himself a new mp3 player: a Creative Zen Vision:M.
This thing is freaking awesome. It plays videos. It can store pictures. I can sync it with Microsoft Outlook and use it as a day timer (of course that would require me to use Outlook and, y'know, be organized). I can even access everything on the thing through any computer and drag and drop files on to it from anywhere. As much as I love my poor, dying Dell Personal DJ, this thing is one of the coolest pieces of technology ever.
Anyway, not only will this thing allow me to play any track on random, it has an "Album of the Day" feature that will pick an album at random. So, just for giggles, here's a bunch of words:
Thank You, Stone Temple Pilots
Volume 3: Further in Time, Afro Celt Sound System
The Bends, Radiohead
Perth, Australia, 2-23-03 Disc 1, Pearl Jam
Bad Hair Day, Weird Al
The Remote Part, Idlewild
The Elms EP, The Elms
A Rock in the Weary Land, The Waterboys
Judgment Night Soundtrack, Various (1992 album, rock bands fronted by rappers, awesome)
Gravity, Our Lady Peace
And, for giggles, random tracks:
"Betterman," Pearl Jam
"Going Home," Saw Doctors
"All I Know About Mexico," Montgomery Gentry
"Headspace," Velvet Revolver
"Ancient Walls of Flowers," Marcy Playground
"Aluminum," Barenaked Ladies
"40," U2
"Nada," The Refreshments
"Fatal," Pearl Jam
"Boulevard of Broken Dreams," Green Day
I hope we've all learned something today...
