Allow Myself to Quote...Myself...

Okay, this might not be the most modest thing in the world, but I wrote something this morning and it's been amusing the hell out of me ever since. So I'ma quote myself from my own comments on my own blog. Because I can. Background: Fiat Lex tried to preach to me the gospel of Rap Chop. I told her that my only belief is The Picard Song and that I had to cleanse my blog with a prayer: Our Captain Who art in Prime Time Picard be thy name Thy Starship come Thy orders done On Earth as they are on cable Give us this day our Earl Grey, hot And rescue us from the evil Borg As we rescued you from them at Wolf 359 And lead us not into the Neutral Zone But deliver us from Romulans For thy mission is to go where no one has gone before. Engage. That is all. You may now return to your regularly scheduled day.

Hey, Fiat only preached the gospel of RapChop because I told her what you told me on AIM: That you had not accepted the truth of Vince Offer into your heart, and would forever be without RapChop's loving grace. This concerned her, as well as I. While I admit the Picard song is better than I thought it would be, consider this before you shun the wisdom of RapChop:

Vince Offer encourages us all to "slap our troubles away". While practicing what he preaches on a hooker, she practiced it right back and totally messed him up. Now that, my friends, is what I call integrity. And yea, for all there shall be fettuccine, linguine, martini, bikini. Praise Vince.

Okay, there's nothing about that that isn't hilarious. Good friggin' job.

You do your lord and savior Vince proud...

To be honest, I am still a faithful adherent of the Gospel of Trogdor. For the thatch-roofed cottages shall verily be burninated, yea. However, the Prophet Vince makes a good point, and it troubleth me mightily that thou seekest not to slap thy problems away, but rather to engage. With perhaps a cup of Earl Grey, hot.
