Impeach Barney Frank!

This.
Rep. Barney Frank lashed out at protester who held a poster depicting President Barack Obama with a Hitler-style mustache during a heated town hall meeting on federal health care reform.
Which is fairly common these days. Why? Because there are many, many aggressively idiotic people brave patriots in America. What's not particularly common is Frank's response.
"On what planet do you spend most of your time?" Frank asked the woman, who had stepped up to the podium at a southeastern Massachusetts senior center to ask why Frank supports what she called a Nazi policy. "Ma'am, trying to have a conversation with you would be like trying to argue with a dining room table. I have no interest in doing it," Frank replied.
We need to get rid of Barney Frank right now before he ruins our 'Murican freedoms. I also can't believe he'd say this:
He continued by saying her ability to deface an image of the president and express her views "is a tribute to the First Amendment that this kind of vile, contemptible nonsense is so freely propagated."
Like, those people who keep showing up to Town Hall Meetings where the President is with guns? None of them have been arrested, mostly because they're legally allowed to carry those weapons in public. But we all know that as soon as Obama finishes his dastardly plans to lead the Democrats in a takeover of the Supreme Court and both houses of Congress they'll rule with an iron fist. First they'll arrest and execute every Republican who was involved in the so-called lies and torture from the War on Terror. Then they'll ruin our health care by forcing everyone to take a substandard, public plan that will be little better than leeches, amputations, and rituals to call out the bad humors. Then they'll make it harder for people to carry guns anywhere they want. Pretty soon it will be rampant Socialism and the United States will be turned in to the next Soviet Union. IT'S ALL HAPPENING, PEOPLE! Things were so much better under Bush, y'know, back when people never got arrested for wearing t-shirts. I just feel like I've lost so many of my freedoms during the last six months. And now they want to kill my grandmother. And force me to have sex with other men. And force me to get pregnant, then abort the baby. Somehow. And if I ever am allowed to get married to an actual woman, they probably won't even let me say she's my property and force her to stay at home and keep pumping out babies to home school. THE TERRORISTS ARE WINNING, PEOPLE! Ahem. Sorry... I just (sniff)...I just love this country so much. And I hate to see it torn apart by someone who isn't even an American...

Today's lesson: Don't ever ask Barney Frank a question you don't want to hear the answer to.

I know, right? We totally need more politicians saying things like, "Discussing this with you would be like talking to a dinner table."

I'm very much in the call a spade a spade school of dealing with aggressive idiocy.

The worst part about this isn't the way he handled it, it's that these people are taking time away from the people who have VALID and INFORMED questions like the people who have actually read the legislation...

Um, you might have missed the inherent sarcasm of the post, but I think that the way Barney Frank handled it is the best thing about it. And I'm talking about pretty much the whole sordid mess of the astroturfing and intentional obfuscation of the health care plan.

This was fucking hilarious. Thanks. Geds pretending to be Glenn Beck equals much win. On another note, Fiat put up a health care post in which she actually read the entire document before writing about it. You should check it out.

Also, thanks to whiskey sours, I'm still drunk from last night. They're like the marijuana of mixed drinks!

Hey, I didn't read the entire document. That would have taken days, even for me. I just power-surfed it to mine useful info.

This post though, Geds, this is pure gold. :D I tell ya, AtF is beneath your talents in the sarcasm field. I am empurpled with annoyance at "the sloop" Glenn B whenever I encounter evidence that he exists. And I want to see him satirized all the time. Kind of like how certain people are hot, and you want to see them naked all the time, only completely different.

Incidents like this convince me that our major media frontpeople are all working as hard as they can to turn themselves into robots. Any action or statement which is expected, mine for controversy and exaggerate, using fallacious implication, into whatever direction one's overseers require. Any action or statement which is unexpected, either praise or vilify out of all proportion, depending upon whether the source favors or opposes one's overseers' agenda.

Oh, yes, and don't do any real reporting or fact-checking, and completely ignore anyone who does as totally unworthy of notice.

You, sir, are not a robot. Of this I am certain. Which is a good thing on many counts! For example, I strongly suspect that robots do not enjoy live Pearl Jam. :D

Mere impeachment is too good for him. He should spend some time in jail!
