After much arm twisting from Big A (and by "much" I mean "none" and "arm twisting" I mean "he suggested something I was already thinking of doing), I've decided it's time to call the Second Somewhat Irregular Meeting Type-Thing of the Accidental Historian Appreciation Society, Dallas Area Chapter. On the off-chance you haven't been paying attention and can't possibly guess where and when that could possibly be, there's a strong chance that I'm suggesting that y'all might want to go to a place I've already said I'm going to be. Give up? Okay.
Show up at Trinity Hall Dallas some time around 8:30 on Saturday, March 27th. I can practically guarantee you that there'll be some good Irish folk there who are at least 43% more interesting than me. And if you get there earlier, there might be an opportunity for food and conversation and whatnot. Maybe even a magic show. Y'know, assuming someone in the building is a magician. I sure as hell ain't.
Oh, and they appear to have a fine list of whiskeys. Not to mention the only beer list I've seen in Texas with Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA. Honestly, I'm about as close as I can get to dubbing this place Brixie's South without actually having visited yet. If only they could find me some Two Brothers or Metropolitan...
Anyway, yeah. That thing I mentioned about going to the place seems like a good idea. To me. Right now.
Oh, and to the guy at Trinity Hall who found me the last time I mentioned the place: don't get too excited. I'm not particularly well-appreciated.
Either that or I am, but just not by many people. One of those.
